Sony has revealed the first confirmed game for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs in October 2026, with Mycopunk joining the service as a day-one release.
Mycopunk originally launched through Steam Early Access in July 2025 and has earned a strong response from players. The four-player cooperative shooter follows the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a group of unusual robots battling a dangerous fungal threat across the galaxy.
The game focuses on mission-based action, customizable equipment, and cooperative play. Its arrival gives PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers a new release to play immediately upon its October release on PlayStation.
Sony also announced three classic games that will be added to the PS Plus Premium catalog later in 2026. Exact release months were not confirmed, but the lineup includes Mega Man X: Command Mission, Dino Crisis 2, and Ratchet & Clank.
Mega Man X: Command Mission and Ratchet & Clank originally launched on PlayStation 2, while Dino Crisis 2 debuted on the original PlayStation. All three classics are expected to be available on PS5 and PS4 through the Premium tier.
Sony is expected to reveal the rest of the October PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup closer to release. Mycopunk currently stands as the first confirmed addition for the month, while the newly announced classics give Premium subscribers more games to expect before the end of 2026.
