Liv Morgan is taking her talents from the WWE ring to the streets of Tokyo in her latest movie role.
NEON released the first trailer for Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, the newest installment in the Bad Lieutenant film series.
The movie stars Shun Oguri, Lily James, Shotaro Mamiya and Morgan, with acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike serving as director.
Morgan appears in the trailer alongside members of the main cast, confirming that her involvement extends beyond simply having her name attached to the project.
Details about Morgan’s character and her role in the story remain under wraps.
Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo does not currently have an official release date. Promotional material lists the movie as “Coming Soon,” although Morgan previously indicated that it was expected to arrive in September.
Morgan temporarily stepped away from WWE television in May 2025 to film the project in Japan.
Her absence raised questions about her WWE status at the time, but it later became clear that she was pursuing one of the most significant acting opportunities of her career.
The trailer arrives during another major period for Morgan inside the ring.
She currently holds the WWE Women’s World Championship after successfully defending the title against IYO SKY at SummerSlam.
Morgan has already established herself as one of WWE’s biggest stars, and Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo gives her another opportunity to expand her career beyond professional wrestling.
With the first footage now available, fans must wait for NEON to reveal when Morgan’s latest movie will arrive in theaters.
