WWE NXT weekly broadcast expected to stream through ESPN Unlimited under new CW partnership

WWE NXT Weekly Shows Expected For ESPN Unlimited Streaming

New CW deal could bring full weekly NXT episodes to ESPN Unlimited subscribers

Summary

– WWE NXT weekly shows are expected to stream on ESPN Unlimited as part of the new CW partnership

– ESPN sources believe the deal covers CW Sports content beyond premium live events, including the full NXT series

– The agreement could give fans a new way to watch NXT weekly without relying only on traditional TV broadcasts

WWE NXT fans could soon have a major new way to watch the brand every week, not just during premium live events.

Following the announcement of WWE and The CW Network’s new streaming partnership tied to ESPN Unlimited, many fans questioned whether the deal only applied to NXT premium live events or if the weekly Tuesday night show would also be included.

According to PWInsider, sources within ESPN believe the agreement will cover more than just special events. The expectation is that the full weekly NXT broadcast will be included in CW Sports programming available to ESPN Unlimited subscribers.

The internal belief at ESPN is that the service will carry all of CW’s sports content, which would place WWE NXT’s weekly series alongside the rest of the network’s sports library.

That adds more clarity to the original announcement, which confirmed that CW Sports programming, including WWE NXT, would be available through ESPN+ Unlimited starting this summer. WWE had already stated that NXT premium live events would continue airing on The CW Network, but the full streaming scope had not been fully explained.

ESPN vice president of direct-to-consumer strategy Emily Horowitz previously called the partnership a major benefit for subscribers, saying the added programming helps strengthen and make the service more valuable.

CW Network president Brad Schwartz also explained that the company preferred a partnership rather than creating another standalone streaming platform, believing fans did not need another service to manage.

If the weekly NXT show is included, it would give viewers direct access to the full brand through ESPN+ without relying solely on standard broadcast television. That could be a major shift for how fans follow WWE’s developmental system each week.

With the launch expected this summer and more details still to come, NXT’s place on ESPN Unlimited could become one of the biggest viewing changes for the brand in years.
