WWE NXT brings Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox’s personal rivalry into the ring, alongside three other announced matches.
Summary
– Cruz Montana gets his match with Dion Lennox after last week’s attack
– The Vanity Project face E.K. Prosper, Mini Vikingo, and Chazz “Starboy” Hall
– The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continues with two quarterfinals
The October 20 edition of NXT features four announced matches as the brand continues its road to Halloween Havoc. The most personal contest on the card will see Cruz Montana take on Dion Lennox after their conflict escalated beyond the ring last week.
Montana and Lennox’s issues began with a heated exchange about their backgrounds. Lennox later targeted Montana’s family, attacking him while he was on the phone with his mother and then calling her himself. Montana now has the chance to answer Lennox face-to-face in a one-on-one match.
The Vanity Project will also be in action, with NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes teaming with Jackson Drake against E.K. Prosper, Mini Vikingo, and Chazz “Starboy” Hall. Vikingo and Hall nearly advanced in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic last week before the champions stopped them. The backstage confrontation that followed set up this six-man match.
The tournament bracket adds two quarterfinals to the lineup: Julius and Brutus Creed meet Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, while El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno face BirthRight’s Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey.
NXT airs live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. International viewers can watch on Netflix, with on-demand viewing also available.
