Windy conditions turn company flag into fire hazard
Summary
– A flag outside WWE headquarters caught fire after hitting a power line in Stamford
– The incident happened Saturday night during windy conditions near the company’s newer headquarters
– It is currently unclear whether anyone was injured during the situation
A strange scene unfolded outside WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, on Saturday night.
A flag attached to WWE’s headquarters reportedly came loose during windy conditions and struck a nearby power line. The contact caused the flag to catch fire outside the building.
It is not currently known if anyone was injured during the incident. The situation created an unusual hazard outside WWE’s newer corporate home.
WWE opened its current headquarters at 707 Washington Boulevard in 2023. The building stands 13 stories tall and covers around 400,000 square feet.
The company previously operated out of Titan Towers, its longtime Stamford headquarters. That building opened in 1991 and became one of the most recognizable locations in WWE history.
Titan Towers was also used for WWE Money in the Bank 2020, when the company staged a ladder match inside the building during the pandemic.
WWE later sold Titan Towers in 2025 to MB Financial Group for $3.75 million. The company has since continued operating from its newer Stamford headquarters.
The fire appears to have been caused by weather-related movement, with strong winds turning the flag into an unexpected danger near the power line.
