The open-world combat racer brings destructive competition to consoles and PC

When Tides Turn has announced Wreckreation 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The open-world arcade racing game is a sequel to Wreckreation, which launched in 2025.
When Tides Turn is a newly formed studio led by Criterion Games co-founder Fiona Sperry.
Sperry said the development team spent six months speaking directly with players about what they wanted from a modern arcade racing game.
Community feedback has already influenced the handling, progression, events, and world design featured in the sequel.
Wreckreation 2 takes place across Heartbreak City, an open world containing downtown streets, elevated freeways, airport runways, dockyards, and hidden backroads.
Races will focus on aggressive competition as players slam opponents, force mistakes, and perform takedowns while fighting for position.
Learning the city’s shortcuts and alternate routes will provide advantages during events.
Available activities will include traditional races, Road Rage, Marked Man, Pursuits, Blackspots, Wreckonings, and Eliminators.
Players will also be able to create and share custom experiences through the returning Live Mix feature.
When Tides Turn has not announced a release date, but the PC version can currently be added to wishlists through Steam.
