Borden teamed with Darby Allin against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher in a match for a future AEW World Tag Team Championship opportunity. The bout was stopped after Borden came off the ropes and collided headfirst with Knight.
The referee immediately called for the match to end, and Borden was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Tony Schiavone later said Borden underwent a CAT scan, spoke with doctors, and continued asking about the match.
Khan addressed the situation during the post-show panel and said Borden’s tests had come back good. He also expressed hope that Sting’s son would be able to return home to his family the following day.
“All the tests have come back good, and hopefully tomorrow he will be able to fly home to his family,” Khan said.
