AEW’s trios title challengers send a message
Summary
– The Demand attacked Swerve Strickland and The New Level on Dynamite
– Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona overwhelmed their opponents
– The two teams will compete for the AEW Trios Championships next week
The Demand sent a clear message to Swerve Strickland and The New Level during the September 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona attacked Swerve and The New Level before their scheduled championship match next week. The ambush quickly turned into a three-on-one assault against Swerve.
Kofi Kingston tried to fight back after being knocked into Swerve, but Toa Liona’s strength eventually overwhelmed him. Bishop Kaun also rag-dolled Austin Creed as The Demand controlled the ring.
Swerve continued trying to defend his team, but the numbers advantage became too much. Ricochet, Kaun, and Liona kept the attack going before Ricochet brought championship hardware into the ring.
The Demand will challenge Swerve Strickland and The New Level for the AEW World Trios Championships next Wednesday in Chicago. Their Dynamite attack gave the champions an early look at what awaits them.
AEW has now added even more tension to the upcoming title match. Swerve and The New Level will need to find a way to survive The Demand’s power, speed, and numbers.
