Morgan and Lynch will challenge at Money in the Bank
Summary
– Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch
– Judgment Day interference disrupted Morgan and Lynch’s No. 1 contender’s match on Raw
– Adam Pearce approved the triple threat after Vaquer demanded both challengers
Stephanie Vaquer will face Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch in a Women’s World Championship triple threat at Money in the Bank. Adam Pearce made the match official on the October 5 episode of WWE Raw after the champion demanded to defend against both women.
Morgan and Lynch initially competed to determine Vaquer’s next challenger. Their match became increasingly difficult for Lynch when Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez arrived to support Morgan.
Rodriguez distracted the referee while Perez intervened. Lynch survived the ensuing pin attempt and fought off both women, but Judgment Day continued to influence the match.
After Lynch delivered a Manhandle Slam, Rodriguez placed Morgan’s foot on the bottom rope to prevent the three-count. Another interference attempt followed when Rodriguez tripped Lynch while referee Jessika Carr’s attention was elsewhere.
Vaquer then arrived and drew the referee’s attention to Judgment Day’s involvement. Rodriguez and Perez were ejected from ringside, leaving Morgan and Lynch to continue without their interference.
The confrontation quickly spread to the champion. Lynch inadvertently struck Vaquer while trying to attack Morgan, and Morgan also caught Vaquer during an attempt at Oblivion.
Vaquer entered the ring and attacked both competitors as the bell sounded. With the contender’s match breaking down, she called Pearce to ringside and demanded both opponents for Saturday.
“I want both this Saturday,” Vaquer said.
Pearce confirmed that she wanted a triple threat for the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank. Vaquer agreed, and the general manager approved the match.
The champion then climbed to the top rope and delivered a corkscrew moonsault onto both challengers. Vaquer ended the confrontation standing strong, but her title defense now requires her to contend with Morgan and Lynch at the same time.
