La Primera overcame outside interference to secure the victory
Summary
– Stephanie Vaquer defeated Roxanne Perez on Raw
– Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez tried to disrupt the match
– Becky Lynch stopped Morgan from attacking Vaquer after the bell
Stephanie Vaquer picked up a major victory over Roxanne Perez on Monday Night Raw despite repeated attempts from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to influence the match.
Vaquer began building momentum with a back suplex and followed with the Devil’s Kiss, repeatedly driving Perez’s head into the mat. Perez tried to create space by rolling toward the outside, but Vaquer stayed on her and prevented her from escaping.
Perez eventually gained an opening by going to Vaquer’s eyes while the referee was distracted by the ring apron. She followed with a Shining Wizard and nearly scored the victory, but Vaquer managed to kick out.
Vaquer regained control and connected with the SVB before positioning Perez for another attack from the top rope. That brought Rodriguez and Morgan into the situation, with Rodriguez creating a distraction that allowed Morgan to interfere and knock Vaquer from the ropes.
Vaquer refused to let the interference derail her. She drove Rodriguez into the steel steps before returning her attention to Perez, who attempted a springboard moonsault but missed when Vaquer moved out of the way.
Perez’s mistake gave Vaquer the opening she needed. Vaquer caught her with knees to the face and scored the three-count to earn the victory.
Morgan attempted to attack Vaquer from behind after the match, but Becky Lynch intercepted her and sent the Women’s World Champion into the timekeeper’s area. Lynch then reminded Vaquer that she now believes La Primera owes her twice for stepping in.
