Santino Marella finally got his match with Stacks during the May 28 episode of TNA iMPACT, but the night did not end the way he wanted.
The issue has been building since December, when Stacks and Arianna Grace broke Santino’s heart during a steel cage match. That family drama carried into this singles match, with Santino trying to settle things inside the ring.
Santino had control late in the match and looked ready to use the Cobra. Arianna stepped in and removed it from her father’s hand, giving Stacks the opening he needed.
Stacks took advantage of the distraction and pinned Santino. The win gave the Booth Alliance another painful moment over the TNA Director of Authority.
After the match, Arianna mocked her father while Stacks continued the attack. Indi Hartwell then came out to stand with Santino and challenge Grace and Stacks.
Santino first said the match would not happen that night. He then changed his mind and made the mixed tag team match official for next week.
Santino and Indi Hartwell will now face Stacks and Arianna Grace on the next episode of TNA iMPACT. The family fight is far from over.
