TNA authority figure appears at WWE’s historic Turin event
Summary
– Santino Marella was spotted at WWE Clash in Italy in Turin
– The event marked WWE’s first Premium Live Event held in Italy
– Marella’s appearance added a fitting Italian connection to the show
Santino Marella was among the familiar faces in attendance for WWE Clash in Italy.
The event took place at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, and marked WWE’s first Premium Live Event in the country. That made the night historic before the opening bell even sounded.
WWE opened the show with Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against GUNTHER. Along with the advertised matches, several notable names were also seen inside the building.
Marella was one of them. His appearance made sense because of his Italian roots and his long connection to WWE fans.
Marella currently serves as TNA’s Director of Authority, which also makes his presence interesting given the ongoing attention around WWE and TNA crossover moments. His appearance did not mean he was booked for a match, but it still gave fans something extra to notice.
Other names were also present despite not being scheduled to compete. Austin Theory, Bron Breakker, Giulia, Liv Morgan, and LA Knight were reportedly in attendance.
WWE also brought in Italian celebrities for the show, including rapper Capo Plaza, Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, radio host Gianluca Gazzoli, and producer Sick Luke.
Clash in Italy already carried major importance for WWE. Having Santino Marella in the building added another local-flavored moment to a landmark night in Turin.
