Summary

– Roxanne Perez called her collision with Liv Morgan one of her scariest wrestling moments

– Perez said the sound of their heads colliding still replays in her mind

– Morgan was reportedly still dealing with a noticeable knot months after the impact

Roxanne Perez still remembers the sound of her frightening head-on collision with Liv Morgan, and months later, the moment remains difficult for her to forget.

Speaking during NotSam Wrestling Live, Perez reflected on the collision involving herself and Morgan ahead of WrestleMania. She described the impact as one of the scariest things she has experienced in professional wrestling and said the sound still replays in her head like something from a horror movie.

Perez said she immediately knew the collision was serious because she heard the impact as soon as their heads connected. While lying on the floor, her first instinct was to check her own head because she expected to find a noticeable bump.

Once the segment ended, Perez turned around and saw the injury Morgan had suffered. She then checked her own head and realized that although she also had a bump, Morgan’s appeared considerably worse.

Perez said her swelling disappeared after roughly a week, while Morgan was still dealing with a knot on her forehead around five months later. The lasting mark reinforced just how hard the two had collided.

The former NXT Women’s Champion also addressed whether an accident like that changes how she approaches wrestling. Perez said unexpected injuries are simply part of the business and pushed back against people who dismiss professional wrestling as fake because the results are predetermined.

Perez pointed directly to Morgan’s injury as proof that the physical consequences are very real. She also noted that there was no realistic way for anyone involved to predict the collision before it happened.

According to Perez, accidents can happen at any time in professional wrestling, regardless of how much preparation goes into a segment or match. Her hope is simply that she and Morgan never experience another collision like it.
