Summary

– Mustafa Saed made a surprise appearance in the TNA World Championship number one contender battle royal

– Saed was the first competitor eliminated after being thrown out by Agent Zero

– Eric Young won the match after using a low blow on Elijah near the finish

Mustafa Saed made an unexpected return to national wrestling television on the May 14 edition of Thursday Night iMPACT.

The former ECW World Tag Team Champion entered the battle royal to determine the next number one contender for the TNA World Championship. His appearance added a surprise veteran name to the live broadcast.

Saed’s time in the match was short. Order 4’s Agent Zero eliminated him first, ending the ECW veteran’s run before the field started to narrow.

Eric Young and Elijah were the final two competitors left in the match. Both men fought on the ring apron before Young used a low blow to send Elijah to the floor.

Young’s win puts him in line for a future shot at Mike Santana, who currently holds the TNA World Championship.

Saed, now 62, remains active in wrestling and is best known for his run in The Gangstas alongside the late New Jack.
