MLW Fusion Coming to Tubi After Five-Year Wait

Weekly episodes will stream free

Summary

– MLW Fusion will stream live on Tubi starting September 17

– New episodes will air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET

– The deal revives an agreement that collapsed in 2021

MLW Fusion is officially heading to Tubi five years after a previous streaming agreement with the platform collapsed before launch.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Major League Wrestling will begin streaming Fusion live on Tubi every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET starting September 17.

The free streaming deal gives MLW access to Tubi’s reported 110 million monthly active users. Episodes will also remain available through Veeps and NJPW World.

MLW originally believed it had reached a Tubi agreement in 2021, but the deal unexpectedly fell apart. The Hollywood Reporter reported that WWE allegedly pressured Tubi to withdraw because of WWE’s relationship with Fox, which owned the platform and aired SmackDown at the time.

MLW later filed an antitrust lawsuit against WWE. The case was settled outside of court, with WWE reportedly paying MLW $20 million.

The promotion has changed significantly since that dispute. MLW added actor Paul Walter Hauser as an executive producer alongside Court Bauer and Bryan Walsh, signed with Artists First, and partnered with Don Gato Tequila.

MLW also moved its headquarters from New York to Charleston, South Carolina. The company relaunched Fusion earlier this year and now distributes its pay-per-view events through Live Nation’s Veeps.

MLW founder and CEO Court Bauer said the Tubi partnership fits the promotion’s goal of keeping wrestling widely accessible without subscription barriers.

For MLW, the Tubi deal is more than a new streaming destination. It completes an agreement that had disappeared five years ago and gives Fusion a free weekly platform with massive potential for an audience.
