Mickie James reflects on her career with a renewed appreciation as she prepares for her upcoming TNA Hall of Fame induction. In a new interview with WrestlingNewsCo, the veteran star shared how returning to TNA reignited her love for professional wrestling.
James appeared in TNA in the early 2000s before making her mark in WWE. After multiple runs with both promotions, she returned to TNA in 2010, a move that would ultimately reshape her identity as a performer.
“To get this opportunity to go to TNA, I don’t even think I recognized how awesome it was gonna be until I got there,” James said. “I was able to create and be probably my most authentic self in the wrestling ring than I’d ever been… it almost reminded me of how much I love wrestling and why I love wrestling. It made me almost fall in love with wrestling all over again, and a whole new journey.”
For Mickie, her TNA tenure represents more than just championship reigns or rivalries — it symbolizes personal growth and creative freedom. As she prepares for Hall of Fame honors, her words are a tribute to a company that allowed her to rediscover her passion.
