Summary

– Hendrix took credit for beating Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne after the match

– Rook snapped after Hendrix dismissed his role in the victory

Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix scored a major win on WWE NXT, but their partnership did not last long.

The two newcomers defeated NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and North American Champion Myles Borne during the May 19 episode. Hendrix picked up the spotlight after the match and quickly started talking about future championship opportunities.

Hendrix said beating two champions in his NXT debut proved why he calls himself Showtime. He then made it clear that he was not only looking at the North American Championship, because he also had his eyes on D’Angelo’s NXT Championship.

Rook interrupted before Hendrix could enjoy the moment for too long. He accused Hendrix of acting like the win belonged only to him and said Hendrix would not have been in that position without him.

Hendrix fired back by saying nobody would remember Rook was even in the match. He told Rook to get with it or get lost, then said, “Every man for himself.”
