TNA iMPACT main event crowns new champion
Summary
– Léi Yǐng Lee defeated Arianna Grace to win the Knockouts World Championship
– Channing Stacks Lorenzo was ejected from ringside during the title match
– Lee regained the championship after losing it to Grace earlier this year
Léi Yǐng Lee is once again the TNA Knockouts World Champion after defeating Arianna Grace during the May 7 episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC.
The title match closed the show and featured Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo accompanying Grace to the ring. Late in the match, Stacks attempted to help Grace retain by placing her foot on the bottom rope during a pin attempt.
The referee spotted the interference and immediately ejected Stacks from ringside. Without outside help, Grace was unable to stop Lee’s momentum as Lee secured the victory to capture the championship.
The win makes Lee a two-time Knockouts World Champion. She previously lost the title to Grace during TNA’s No Surrender event back in February.
Lee’s title victory comes while tensions continue building between her and former ally Xia Brookside. Brookside previously cost Lee a Knockouts Championship opportunity against Grace at the Rebellion pay-per-view in April.
Now back on top of the Knockouts division, Lee enters her second title reign with unfinished business still surrounding Brookside and several challengers likely targeting the new champion.
