IYO SKY scored a win over Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez on WWE Raw, but The Judgment Day made sure her celebration did not last long.
The two met in a non-title match on the October 26 episode in Fresno. IYO used her speed to challenge Rodriguez’s power, including a crossbody to the floor as she built momentum.
Back in the ring, IYO sent Rodriguez into the corner and followed with a missile dropkick. She then connected with a Meteora and headed up for another aerial attack, but Rodriguez raised her feet to block it.
Rodriguez looked to finish the match with the Tejana Bomb. Instead, IYO countered the move into a pin and secured the three-count.
The result gave IYO a victory over the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, although the championship did not change hands. WWE had initially advertised the bout as a title match before the plans were updated to a non-title contest.
Roxanne Perez rushed in after the bell and attacked IYO, bringing her celebration to an abrupt end. Liv Morgan joined the assault, and Rodriguez delivered a big boot as The Judgment Day left IYO down.
The attack continued the conflict between IYO and The Judgment Day. IYO had recently teamed with Chelsea Green against Rodriguez and Perez, and she also confronted Rodriguez during Green’s title defense against Perez on SmackDown.
