GUNTHER reportedly helped Ludwig Kaiser after Kaiser was arrested in Florida.
Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge following an alleged altercation with another man. Court records listed a $1,000 bond after Barthel was taken into custody.
Bild reported that GUNTHER, whose real name is Walter Hahn, paid the bond for his longtime friend and fellow WWE talent. The two have been closely linked throughout their careers, including their time together in Imperium.
Barthel has pleaded not guilty, and the case remains ongoing. He is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on July 16.
The court also permitted Barthel to travel within the United States and internationally. That matters because he has been working as El Grande Americano for Lucha Libre AAA.
Barthel is scheduled to appear at AAA Noches de Los Grandes on May 30 in Monterrey, Mexico. He is set for a Mask versus Mask match against the original El Grande Americano.
WWE has not publicly announced any storyline change tied to the arrest. For now, Kaiser’s legal situation remains active while his wrestling schedule continues.
