Summary
– TKO is reportedly putting together a collaboration involving Danhausen, the New York Knicks, and WWE
– WWE cameras are expected at the Knicks championship parade for a likely YouTube documentary
– WWE is also working to bring Knicks players and possibly their coach to Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York City
Danhausen could soon become a major part of WWE and TKO’s celebration plans with the New York Knicks.
After the Knicks won the NBA Championship on Saturday, new projects involving Danhausen, WWE, and TKO are reportedly in the works. Bryan Alvarez reported that TKO is helping put together the Danhausen-Knicks deal.
WWE cameras are expected to be at the Knicks championship parade. The footage could be used for a YouTube documentary on the Knicks and Danhausen.
The collaboration is also expected to connect with WWE’s upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York City. WWE is reportedly trying to bring in multiple NBA stars for the show.
At least one Knicks player is already confirmed for Saturday Night’s Main Event. WWE is also trying to secure more players and the team’s coach for the event.
WWE has already started pushing the crossover through merchandise. Knicks and Danhausen championship merch has been launched on WWE Shop.
Danhausen is also expected to appear on ESPN as soon as Sunday or Monday. That would give the crossover more national attention following the Knicks’ title win.
Fightful Select previously reported that if the Knicks won the championship, Danhausen would become a major part of advertising in the New York City area. One source reportedly said he would become a fixture.
The move shows how quickly TKO and WWE are trying to capitalize on the Knicks’ championship moment. With the parade, merchandise, ESPN, and Saturday Night’s Main Event all potentially involved, Danhausen may be positioned right in the middle of a major New York crossover.
