Damian Priest continued his attack on R-Truth by ambushing him at the WWE Performance Center.
WWE shared footage on September 24 showing Priest confronting Truth during what appeared to be a visit with trainers. Priest quickly attacked his former partner and repeatedly stomped him.
Priest then threw Truth into a door, held him down, and explained why he had turned against him. He told Truth that the jokes and friendship were over, adding that he should focus on becoming a champion rather than wasting time with him.
The attack followed Priest’s betrayal on the September 11 episode of SmackDown. Priest and Truth had just lost their challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championship to The War Raiders when Priest hugged Truth before blindsiding him with a clothesline.
That moment ended their Wepa Up partnership. The Performance Center assault made the situation even more personal and showed that Priest has no interest in repairing the friendship.
R-Truth has yet to respond, but Priest’s actions could lead to a singles confrontation between the former partners.
