Penta’s Money in the Bank celebration ends with another attack on Evans
Summary
– Bron Breakker speared Je’Von Evans during the October 12 episode of Raw
– Evans appeared with taped ribs and his arm in a sling after Money in the Bank
– Penta and officials checked on Evans following the attack
Bron Breakker interrupted a moment of respect between Penta and Je’Von Evans with a spear on the October 12 episode of Raw. Evans was already showing the effects of Money in the Bank, entering with taped ribs, a limp and his arm in a sling.
The show opened with Penta celebrating his briefcase victory. He thanked the audience and his opponents, then spoke about the championship opportunity now under his control.
Evans joined him to offer congratulations. He said officials had wanted him to go home, but he refused to miss Raw and wanted to speak with Penta in person.
After their punishing ladder match, Evans told Penta he deserved the victory and expressed pride in his achievement. Their exchange was cut short when Breakker struck.
Breakker quickly left the ring as Penta moved to help Evans. Officials followed to check on him while Breakker watched from a distance.
The attack continued the fallout from the October 10 ladder match, where Evans had crashed through an ambulance roof after being thrown from a ladder by Breakker.
Evans’ appearance showed the continuing effects of that encounter within the storyline. The segment did not establish a new medical diagnosis or a timetable for his recovery.
