Blake Monroe finally stepped out of the vignettes and into the fight on WWE SmackDown.
After weeks of diary-style videos aimed at the women’s division, Monroe made her presence felt by attacking Giulia after her win over Kiana James. The moment gave The Glamour a direct and physical introduction to the blue brand.
Giulia had just finished off James with an Arrivederci Knee and a Northern Lights Bomb. She was celebrating the victory when Monroe appeared behind her and dropped her with the Neutralizer.
The attack ended the segment with Monroe standing over Giulia, making it clear that she was not arriving quietly.
The confrontation also carries some history. Giulia and Monroe previously met in Stardom when Monroe was still known as Mariah May. Giulia defeated her during the 2023 5STAR Grand Prix, and the two also crossed paths in tag team matches that year.
Monroe had already appeared briefly on SmackDown during a backstage scene with Chelsea Green on May 22. After that, WWE kept her presence limited to video promos until Friday’s attack.
Her move to SmackDown had been expected after her final stretch in NXT. Monroe lost to Tatum Paxley at Stand & Deliver in a Women’s North American Championship match, then continued that feud until Paxley defeated her in a casket match on April 21.
Now Monroe has a fresh target and a new stage. By going after Giulia, she immediately placed herself in the middle of SmackDown’s women’s division.
