Big E is fully supporting Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed after the longtime partners left WWE and started a new chapter in AEW.
One day after The New Level debuted at All In London, Big E responded to a fan on Instagram and made his feelings clear with a short message praising his former New Day teammates.
Big E referred to Kingston and Creed as “living legends” who had been undervalued, adding that sometimes going to London is what needs to happen.
The comment stands out because Kingston and Creed only recently ended their long runs with WWE before resurfacing in AEW.
The two parted ways with WWE in May and made their AEW debuts at All In on August 30. They arrived under the new team name The New Level and joined Swerve Strickland in the Trios Roulette Royale.
Their first night could hardly have gone better. Kingston, Creed, and Strickland won the AEW World Trios Championships, giving The New Level immediate championship success in their new company.
Creed has previously said there was no ugly breakup behind the WWE departure and instead described the relationship as having run its course.
Kingston has also pointed to AEW’s tag team division as one of the appealing parts of making the move.
Big E did not directly blame WWE or TKO for the situation, but his description of Kingston and Creed as undervalued leaves little doubt that he believes they deserved more recognition.
For now, Big E appears happy to watch his longtime friends bet on themselves and immediately find success outside WWE.
