Summary

– Tony Khan accepted Sting’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at Jaguars training camp

– Khan participated in support of Rebel and everyone affected by ALS

– He nominated Liam Coen, James Gladstone, and Tony Boselli to continue the campaign

Tony Khan answered Sting’s call by participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge during Jacksonville Jaguars training camp.

The AEW CEO shared the video on July 31 to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Khan dedicated his participation to Rebel, also known as Tanea Brooks, and everyone affected by the disease.

Sting nominated Khan after completing his own dramatic version of the challenge. The WWE Hall of Famer dedicated the moment to Rebel before getting drenched with two buckets of ice water.

The first bucket barely affected Sting, who laughed and challenged those around him to do more. A second bucket arrived moments later, before he nominated Khan, Dustin Rhodes, Mick Foley, Darby Allin, and his sons, Garrett and Steven.

Khan followed through on the nomination and used his connections to bring the campaign into the NFL. He challenged Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, general manager James Gladstone, and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Boselli.

The video noted that approximately one in every 300 people will develop ALS during their lifetime. Khan’s participation helped spread that message while keeping the wrestling community’s support for Rebel moving forward.

With three prominent Jaguars figures now nominated, the campaign has expanded beyond professional wrestling and into professional football.
