WWE Hall of Famer takes Ice Bucket Challenge and calls out Colorado football
Summary
– Goldberg took part in the 2026 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Instagram
– He accepted the challenge from former teammate Tim Green
– Goldberg challenged Deion Sanders, Gage Goldberg, and the Colorado Buffaloes football team
Goldberg stepped up for a good cause, but the cold water still caught him off guard.
The WWE Hall of Famer posted a video on Instagram showing himself taking the 2026 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Goldberg said he was accepting the challenge from former teammate Tim Green and doing it in support of Green and Chris Johnson.
“Goldberg here. Welcome to the 2026 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I got challenged by former teammate Tim Green. Tim, obviously I’d do anything for you and Chris Johnson, so here we go. God, Jesus! OOOOH!”
Goldberg looked ready before the bucket came down, but that confidence disappeared fast. Once the freezing water hit, he immediately started yelling from the shock.
Even with the cold getting the best of him, Goldberg still finished the challenge. He quickly named the people he wanted to see take it next.
“Okay! I challenge Deion Sanders, Gage Goldberg, and the entire Colorado Buffaloes football team. God! Oh, you got me!”
That callout covered a lot of ground. Goldberg did not only challenge one person. He put Deion Sanders, his son Gage Goldberg, and the full Colorado football team on notice.
The video also keeps attention on the ALS awareness campaign. The challenge has continued picking up names, with Seth Rollins and former NFL linebacker Manti Te’o also taking part for Johnson.
Goldberg’s version may stand out because of his reaction. He has delivered plenty of intense moments in wrestling, but one bucket of ice water had him shouting almost instantly.
The message still came through. Goldberg accepted the challenge, supported the cause, and passed it forward in a big way.
Now the focus shifts to whether Deion Sanders, Gage Goldberg, and the Colorado Buffaloes answer the challenge. If they do, Boulder may soon have plenty of ice buckets.
