The Planet Crafter is officially coming to PlayStation 5 on July 21.
Miju Games confirmed the release date while sharing new details about the survival game’s approach. Instead of focusing on combat, monsters, or jump scares, The Planet Crafter is built around exploration, resource management, and terraforming.
Players will still need to survive harsh conditions. Oxygen, food, and water must be managed carefully, especially early in the game, when a single bad decision can quickly become fatal.
The main goal is to transform empty planets and moons into livable worlds. Players can build machines such as heat pumps and drills to raise pressure and temperature, creating real changes across the environment.
Those changes can open new paths. A melted glacier may reveal a hidden valley, while growing trees could provide access to areas previously out of reach.
Miju Games also noted that idle game design helped shape the experience. Terraforming machines continue working as long as there is enough power, allowing players to make progress while exploring, collecting minerals, searching for relics, or studying new life forms.
The Planet Crafter will support both single-player and co-op play on PS5. Players can build bases, explore evolving worlds, and slowly turn desolate landscapes into places that feel alive.
