Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux are enjoying one of the busiest stretches of their wrestling careers.
During an interview at the 2026 River City Wrestling Con in St. Augustine, Florida, Kross and Scarlett spoke about their current run across the independent scene. Kross entered the appearance as MLW World Champion, while Scarlett was introduced as the RPW Queen of the Castle Champion.
Kross said life on the road has been rewarding because it has allowed them to reconnect with fans inside and outside the ring. He noted that they are working with MLW, promotions in Romania, and upcoming dates in Chile, Australia, New Zealand, and other markets.
Scarlett summed up their schedule by saying they are “booked and busy,” which fits the pace they have kept since leaving WWE.
When asked about their success, Kross pointed to authenticity. He said attention may matter, but authenticity is the real currency in wrestling. According to Kross, fans have been hungry for something genuine, and he believes that connection has helped fuel their momentum.
The interview also touched on their WWE exit and how the company has operated with talent since then. Kross said his perspective has not changed because he saw the situation coming and warned others.
Kross and Scarlett also discussed their documentary-style YouTube content. Kross said he is completely hands-on with the projects, working with director Davin Tong, while Scarlett also helps film, co-direct, and produce.
Kross explained that the videos allow him to add substance to his character and reach fans in a way television did not always allow. He also teased that something major could be coming soon.
Looking ahead, Kross said they are happy with where they are right now. Rather than chasing another hill, he said they are focused on defending their championships, staying active around the world, and helping build the fan bases of the promotions they work with.
Scarlett added that their journey has introduced some fans to independent wrestling for the first time. She said people have told them they followed their story and are now discovering promotions and wrestlers they may not have watched before.
Kross said closed doors can lead to new opportunities. For now, he and Scarlett appear content to keep traveling, keep winning, and keep building their connection with the audience.
