The early PS5 multiplayer exclusive has lost its online services.
Summary
– Sony has delisted Destruction AllStars and shut down the game’s multiplayer services
– Returning players can still access Arcade mode, though server support ends November 25, 2026
– The shutdown adds another setback to Sony’s live-service gaming push
Destruction AllStars has reached the end of its online run after Sony removed the PS5 exclusive from the PlayStation Store and shut down its multiplayer services.
The Lucid Games title was one of the first PlayStation 5 games revealed in 2020 and was originally positioned as an early showcase for Sony’s new console. It was pitched as a fast-paced vehicle combat game built around online competition.
Sony later changed the release plan before launch. Destruction AllStars was first expected to arrive as a full-priced PS5 launch title, but it was delayed and released in February 2021 as a PlayStation Plus offering.
The game struggled to build lasting momentum after release. Reviews were mixed, and the online-focused design never turned into the long-term live-service success Sony appeared to be chasing.
Players have now been told that multiplayer services are offline. Destruction Points have also been removed from sale, though remaining currency can be redeemed until November 25, 2026.
Arcade mode remains available for returning players, but Sony has warned that functionality may be affected once all server support ends. That leaves existing owners with limited offline access while the game’s online side is complete.
The shutdown comes as Sony continues to face questions about its live-service strategy. Destruction AllStars now joins other troubled projects connected to PlayStation’s push into online-focused games.
