The Hyperpop Collection introduces three new console cover colors designed to stand out in RGB-heavy gaming setups. The options include Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue, each offering a significantly brighter look than previous PS5 cover releases.
Sony states that the designs were created explicitly with RGB lighting in mind. According to the company’s design team, the goal was to complement modern gaming environments, which are often filled with glowing lights and high-contrast visuals.
Alongside the console covers, Sony is also releasing matching DualSense controllers in each of the Hyperpop colors. The coordinated designs enable players to immerse themselves in the vibrant aesthetic across their setup fully.
The Hyperpop Collection will not be compatible with the PS5 Pro, which will limit its availability to standard PS5 owners. Sony has not indicated whether Pro-compatible versions are planned for the future.
The new covers and controllers are scheduled to launch on March 12. Preorders will begin on January 16 at 10:00 AM local time through PlayStation Direct and select retailers.
Pricing for the Hyperpop PS5 console covers is set at $74.99, while the DualSense controllers will retail for $84.99. Sony noted that quantities will be limited, suggesting availability may be short-lived.
