The Knockouts Tag Team Champion confirms her next career chapter
Summary
– Shayna Baszler confirms she has signed with TNA Wrestling
– TNA announces the deal following her interview with Denise Salcedo
– Baszler already holds championship gold alongside Zoey Serrano
Shayna Baszler is officially under contract with TNA Wrestling. The former WWE star revealed the news during an interview with Denise Salcedo, with TNA subsequently issuing its own announcement confirming the signing.
The length of the agreement and its financial terms have not been disclosed.
Baszler has already made an immediate impact in the Knockouts division. She debuted at Bound For Glory alongside Zoey Serrano, defeating Allie and Kiera Hogan to capture the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
The team, known as Apex, reunites two wrestlers who previously worked together in WWE. Baszler and Serrano were members of the Pure Fusion Collective alongside Sonya Deville, who now appears in TNA as authority figure Daria Rae.
Her conversation with Salcedo also explored what she hopes to accomplish beyond winning championships. Baszler said she has been thinking more about her legacy, although she does not believe her wrestling career is close to ending.
“Everything about me is real.”
Baszler explained that she wants her background and wrestling style to strengthen TNA’s reputation for legitimacy. Having competed in MMA before transitioning into professional wrestling, she hopes that credibility becomes a lasting part of her contribution to the company.
The signing follows her departure from WWE and subsequent appearances on the independent scene. She also spent time helping behind the scenes in NXT after leaving WWE’s active roster.
TNA has recently added Shotzi Blackheart and Amazing Red while retaining Santino Marella. Baszler’s agreement adds another experienced performer to that growing roster, with her partnership alongside Serrano already established at championship level.
