– Morgan pinned Vaquer after Oblivion to capture the championship
Liv Morgan captured the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank on October 10, defeating Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match in New Orleans.
Vaquer took the fight to both challengers early, sending Morgan outside before exchanging blows with Lynch. The action soon moved to ringside, where the champion launched herself onto both opponents.
Morgan responded with a sunset flip powerbomb that sent Lynch over the ropes, then drove Vaquer into the ring steps. She continued building momentum with suplexes while Lynch was trapped in the tree of woe.
Vaquer fought back with a belly-to-back suplex on Morgan and a backbreaker on Lynch. Neither challenger stayed down long enough for the champion to secure the deciding fall.
Lynch introduced a table as the fight returned to the floor. She briefly joined Vaquer to double-suplex Morgan, but their cooperation ended when they argued over the table, allowing Liv to attack both women.
Several close finishes followed. Vaquer hit Morgan with a powerslam and DTR, while Lynch applied the DisArmHer. Morgan escaped defeat and nearly pinned Lynch with a rollup before Becky answered with a uranage.
The champion appeared close to retaining after delivering running double knees to both opponents against the ring steps. Back inside, Vaquer connected with a twisting moonsault on Morgan, only for Lynch to pull the referee out before the three-count.
Vaquer pursued Lynch outside and eventually sent her crashing onto the ringside table. With Becky out of the immediate fight, the champion returned her attention to Morgan.
Liv seized the opening, hit Oblivion, and pinned Vaquer to win the Women’s World Championship.
Lynch’s interference had kept the match alive, but Morgan claimed the reward. After surviving repeated threats from both opponents, she left Money in the Bank with the title.
