Chad Gable Reveals Career Project in the Works

The Shorty G era will be part of his story

Summary

– Chad Gable is working on a project documenting his career

– He considered leaving out his time as Shorty G

– Gable believes difficult chapters give his successes greater meaning

Chad Gable is working on a project covering his wrestling career, including a chapter he initially considered leaving out.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the WWE Intercontinental Champion revealed that reviewing his time as Shorty G brought up questions about how to tell his story.

“I was going through different phases in my career the other day for a different project I’m doing, and the Shorty G era came up.”

Gable said he briefly wondered whether to include that period. Ultimately, he felt it belonged alongside his more successful moments because those experiences helped make his achievements feel more meaningful.

He also offered a measured assessment of the character. While Shorty G did not connect with audiences the way he hoped, Gable stopped short of describing the experience as unbearable.

“It’s just a character that nobody really identified with, and it didn’t really resonate. It wasn’t torture for me. It’s just not something I’m particularly proud of.”

That distinction explains why Gable wants to acknowledge the period without allowing it to define his career. Looking back, he sees value in documenting the setbacks alongside the accomplishments.

Gable has held the Intercontinental Championship since SummerSlam. He did not reveal the format of his career project or when fans might get to see it.

For now, his comments suggest the Shorty G chapter will remain part of the story, even if it is one he remembers with mixed feelings.
