Liv Morgan Reveals Forehead Surgery

A lingering hematoma required months of treatment

Summary

– Liv Morgan underwent a fat graft following her collision with Roxanne Perez

– Steroid injections cleared the hematoma but left an indentation in her forehead

– Morgan must wait several months to learn whether another procedure is needed

Liv Morgan has revealed that her lingering forehead injury required steroid injections and a fat-graft procedure after months of treatment.

Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, Morgan discussed the hematoma she developed when her head collided with Roxanne Perez during the April 6 episode of WWE Raw. She said the swelling persisted far longer than initially expected.

“We thought it was just gonna go away, and it didn’t go away for like six or seven months,” Morgan said.

Morgan underwent two rounds of steroid injections. According to her account, the treatment finally eliminated the swelling but also reduced the fat in the area, leaving a visible indentation.

To repair it, Morgan recently underwent a fat graft under anesthesia. She explained that doctors removed fat from her abdomen through her belly button and injected it into her forehead through her hairline.

Morgan said the area would take a couple of weeks to smooth out. She expects to wait roughly three months before learning whether another procedure is necessary, depending on how much of the transferred fat her body retains.

The update follows Raquel Rodriguez’s August comments that Morgan was still receiving treatment for the injury. Rodriguez said therapy had helped, although the swelling had not completely disappeared.

Morgan also described the emotional strain of living with the injury. Initially, she thought the bump suited her wrestling persona, but seeing it every day became difficult.

“Just like in my everyday life, it was just like all I could see when I looked at myself,” she said. “So I’ve just been like silently dealing with it.”

Recalling the collision, Morgan said Dominik Mysterio tried to keep her from looking at the swelling. She realized its size when she touched her forehead, then laughed when she finally saw it because it looked like something from a cartoon.

Despite that initial reaction, Morgan described the hematoma as possibly her worst wrestling injury and the one she would choose to erase.

Morgan said she is relieved that the area has mostly healed. Whether she needs a further procedure remains uncertain as she waits to assess the results of the fat graft.
