A chair assault follows his victory over Lexis King
Summary
– Zilla Fatu defeated Lexis King with the Triple Z
– BirthRight launched a five-on-one attack after the match
– The group targeted Fatu’s hand during the assault
Zilla Fatu defeated Lexis King on WWE NXT, but BirthRight left him down after a five-on-one attack that included a steel chair and an assault on his hand.
Fatu controlled the early stages with shoulder tackles, chops, and a corner splash. When BirthRight pulled King outside following a series of headbutts, Fatu wiped out the group with a crossbody.
Arianna Grace’s distraction gave King an opening to strike low behind the referee’s back. King then sent Fatu into the barricade and continued the attack on the apron before returning him to the ring.
A running bulldog and a top-rope blockbuster earned King near falls. He followed with a sleeper hold and kicks across Fatu’s chest, but a Samoan Drop allowed Fatu to turn the match around.
Fatu rallied with clotheslines and a diving headbutt before BirthRight tried to interfere again. He dealt with Stacks and Uriah Connors on the apron, then knocked Charlie Dempsey away.
King capitalized with a superkick, but Fatu recovered and hit the Triple Z to secure the win.
BirthRight attacked immediately afterward, overwhelming Fatu with its numbers. Dempsey struck him with a steel chair, sending him into the steel steps.
The group then stomped on Fatu’s hand, leaving him screaming in pain. The attack ended his night on a brutal note despite his victory over King.
