A mistimed backfist disrupts their teamwork
Summary
– Lola Vice accidentally hit Sol Ruca with a spinning backfist during their Raw tag match
– Ruca and Vice showed early chemistry against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez
– The closing scramble came five days before the women’s Money in the Bank match
Sol Ruca and Lola Vice’s teamwork unraveled during the closing moments of their October 5 WWE Raw match against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. After combining effectively throughout the contest, Vice accidentally struck Ruca with her MIA spinning backfist.
Ruca and Vice started strongly against the Judgment Day duo. Their coordinated offense helped them counter Rodriguez’s power, while both women also took the action outside the ring.
The momentum later shifted, leaving Ruca struggling to reach her partner. When she finally made the tag, Vice launched a rapid series of kicks against Perez, one of her opponents in Saturday’s women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Ruca remained alert to threats behind Vice and helped keep their opponents in position. The partners followed with coordinated hip attacks as they regained control.
Judgment Day responded with a tag that Ruca did not appear to notice. Her attempt to set up the Sol Snatcher was disrupted, and Rodriguez threatened to deliver a Tejana Bomb before Ruca countered.
The action continued with a spinning kick and a pin attempt from Vice. Rodriguez broke up the cover, keeping the match alive and sending all four women into another scramble.
The decisive sequence featured Vice throwing her MIA spinning backfist, which connected with Ruca instead. A three-count followed in the supplied highlight transcript, although the commentary did not identify who made the cover.
The miscommunication interrupted an otherwise promising performance from Ruca and Vice. With both women heading into Money in the Bank alongside Perez, their next encounter will put them in direct competition.
