Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed its new PlayStation 27-inch Gaming Monitor, designed to bring the next evolution of PS5 gaming to personal desktop setups. The announcement follows a growing demand for flexible gaming experiences beyond traditional living room play.

Developed to complement the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, the monitor features a Quad High Definition (QHD) IPS display with a resolution of up to 2560×1440 and High Dynamic Range (HDR) support. Auto HDR Tone Mapping ensures vivid picture quality by automatically adjusting HDR settings during setup on compatible consoles.

The display supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and runs up to 120Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro, or up to 240Hz on compatible PC and Mac systems. A built-in DualSense Charging Hook adds convenience, letting players keep their controller powered and ready between sessions.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB Type-A ports, and one USB Type-C port, making it ideal for both console and PC use. The monitor also comes with built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and VESA mounting compatibility for flexible setups.

Sony’s upcoming monitor pairs perfectly with the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, designed to deliver immersive desktop sound and seamless chat integration. Together, the two products aim to redefine the player experience on the PS5 from their desks.

PlayStation’s 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook is set to launch in 2026 across the U.S. and Japan. Additional launch details and pricing will be announced in the coming months.
