A newly released police report has provided further details about the circumstances surrounding Benjamin Satterley’s death. The AEW wrestler, known as PAC, was found inside a rental vehicle outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, on September 27.
According to reporting on the Des Plaines Police Department incident report, responding officers observed what appeared to be saliva on the front of his shirt. Medication was also found among his belongings, but the released information does not establish any connection between it and his death.
Investigators found Google Maps open on Satterley’s cellphone with directions to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. That information was consistent with an account from a woman who spoke with police after an officer answered an incoming call on his phone.
The woman said she had spoken with Satterley earlier that afternoon. He had told her he planned to eat at CAVA before traveling to the airport for his delayed return flight to the United Kingdom.
Police reported finding no apparent injuries or suspicious markings. Authorities previously stated that there were no immediate indications of foul play and that the circumstances were not considered suspicious.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed an initial autopsy, but the cause and manner of death remain pending additional testing. The observations recorded by police do not provide a medical explanation for his passing.
The report adds information about Satterley’s plans that afternoon while leaving the central question unresolved. A final determination will depend on the medical examiner’s findings.
