Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno are the first team to advance in the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after defeating Los Americanos on the September 22 episode of NXT.
Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano used their power and athleticism to control parts of the match, while Dar focused on Rayo’s left shoulder, searching for submission opportunities.
The match broke open when Bravo dove over the top rope to take out both opponents. Los Americanos followed with power moves and flying headbutts, keeping Dar and Moreno under pressure.
Dar nearly forced Bravo to submit with an Ankle Lock, but Bravo escaped with a German Suplex. Rayo then took Moreno out at ringside before Bravo hit Dar with a hurricanrana, and Rayo followed with a splash for a near fall.
Moreno eventually knocked Bravo from the top rope, creating the opening Dar and Moreno needed. They connected with their finishing combination and scored the three-count.
The win sends Dar and Moreno into the second round and eliminates Los Americanos from the tournament. They now await their next opponents as the rest of the field begins its opening-round matches.
