Liv Morgan encouraged her to test the idea online
Summary
– Zoey Serrano repeatedly pitched a modern Right to Censor character in WWE
– Liv Morgan encouraged Serrano to begin the gimmick on social media
– Serrano believes WWE missed an opportunity by not pursuing the idea
Zoey Serrano revealed that she repeatedly pitched a modern version of WWE’s Right to Censor faction.
While speaking with Ring the Belle, Serrano explained that she wanted to build the character around censoring photos and gear worn by other WWE women’s wrestlers.
The idea eventually appeared on social media in early 2025, when Serrano began editing or censoring images involving stars such as Liv Morgan.
Serrano said Morgan actually encouraged her to try the gimmick after suggesting that she needed a character. Morgan then permitted Serrano to use her own image for the first post.
Serrano also explained that she made sure to contact other wrestlers before posting anything involving them. She said the interactions were intended to be humorous and respectful.
Although Serrano continued to try to get WWE interested in the concept, the character never became part of an official television storyline. She called it a missed opportunity, especially given the current wrestling landscape.
