Summary
– Trick Williams defeated Baron Corbin to regain the United States Championship
– Lil Yachty earned Williams the rematch by surviving Corbin’s Five Minute Challenge
– Williams survived outside interference and a championship belt attack before securing the victory
Trick Williams regained the United States Championship by defeating Baron Corbin at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, 2026.
Williams received the opportunity after Lil Yachty survived Corbin’s Five Minute Challenge earlier in the night. The stipulation required Corbin to defend the championship against Trick if Yachty lasted the full five minutes.
Corbin entered the title match already angry and immediately attacked Williams. He sent Trick into the announce table, ring post, and steel steps while attempting to control the fight outside the ring.
Williams recovered and responded with a flying clothesline, flapjack, and sit-out Death Valley Driver. Corbin refused to stay down and answered with a chokeslam and Deep Six for near falls.
The match became more chaotic when Corbin attempted to use the United States Championship. Yachty pulled the title away, giving Williams an opening to connect with the Cyclone Kick.
Corbin later regained possession of the championship while the referee dealt with Yachty. He struck Williams with the belt, but Trick managed to kick out and keep the match alive.
Corbin attempted to finish the challenger with End of Days, but Williams escaped. Trick then connected with the Trick Shot and covered Corbin for the three-count.
The victory returned the United States Championship to Williams after Corbin ended his first reign at SummerSlam. Trick is now a two-time United States Champion.
