Summary
– PJ Vasa has confirmed that she is no longer with WWE
– Vasa thanked WWE for giving her an opportunity in professional wrestling
– Her “#30Days” message suggests she is already looking toward her next move
WWE’s developmental system has lost another talent.
PJ Vasa has confirmed that her time with WWE is over, announcing her departure herself on September 4 as the company continues making cuts within its NXT developmental ranks.
Vasa, whose real name is Penina Tuilaepa, posted a farewell message thanking WWE for allowing her to begin her professional wrestling career.
She also made it clear that she isn’t dwelling on the departure. Instead, Vasa is already looking toward whatever comes next.
> “Thank you @WWE for opening the door for me into pro wrestling… what a journey! Looking forward to more motion, more blessings, more life 🙏🏽”
Vasa ended the message with “#30Days,” which appears to reference the standard 30-day period for WWE talent departures before they can begin working elsewhere.
Her WWE journey began with a background in rugby before she transitioned into professional wrestling. Vasa became better known to fans through WWE LFG, where she competed under her real name, Penina Tuilaepa.
The A&E series allowed Vasa to train and compete under WWE legends while prospects battled for opportunities within the company. She eventually became one of the more recognizable women featured on the program.
Vasa later adopted the PJ Vasa name as her development progressed. She also received additional in-ring opportunities through WWE Evolve, allowing her to gain experience before potentially making the jump to NXT television.
Her departure comes during a larger round of WWE developmental cuts.
Jasper Troy was also confirmed as a WWE release on September 4, with reports indicating that the company has been evaluating NXT talent based on their developmental progress.
Vasa’s message makes her status considerably less mysterious. She personally confirmed that she is finished with WWE, thanked the company for opening the door to wrestling, and then immediately turned her attention to the future.
With the “#30Days” countdown now attached to her farewell, it may not be long before fans find out where PJ Vasa goes next.
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good! Fa’afetai I le atua
Thank you @WWE for opening the door for me into pro wrestling… what a journey! Looking forward to more motion, more blessings, more life 🙏🏽 #30Days
