Fatu became involved after The Usos started brawling with Royce Keys and OTM. He stormed into the scene carrying a weapon, helped drive the group away, and then climbed onto the announce table as the crowd reacted.
That was when Fatu grabbed a microphone and shouted an F-bomb that WWE was never likely to leave untouched on television.
His microphone was reportedly cut immediately during the taping, but Fatu continued shouting while the live crowd erupted.
Because the segment had been recorded in advance, WWE had time to edit the moment before Raw aired.
The television version placed a bleep over the profanity while leaving the rest of the outburst intact enough for viewers to understand what happened.
WWE also appeared to shorten some of Fatu’s time on the announce table compared with footage that circulated from the taping.
That created a noticeable difference between what fans inside the building experienced and what viewers ultimately saw on television.
