Report says the match could fit the Undisputed WWE Championship storyline
Summary
– WWE has discussed bringing the Iron Survivor Challenge to the main roster
– A source says the stipulation could fit several stories, including the Undisputed WWE Championship picture
– The match’s absence from NXT’s December schedule does not confirm a main-roster debut
The Iron Survivor Challenge is missing from NXT’s December schedule, but WWE may still have plans for the match. A new report says the company has previously considered bringing the stipulation to the main roster.
WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, revisited the match’s future after WWE announced that NXT TLC would replace NXT Deadline this December. The Iron Survivor Challenge has traditionally been part of Deadline.
A source told WrestleVotes that WWE has previously discussed using the match on the main roster. However, the report could not confirm whether its absence from this year’s NXT schedule makes a move more likely.
One WWE source said the stipulation could fit several ongoing main-roster storylines, including the Undisputed WWE Championship picture. That could give the match a prominent platform if WWE decides to introduce it beyond NXT.
Earlier this week, WrestleVotes also reported that Bruce Prichard is a fan of the concept and speculated that he could bring it to the main roster before his expected retirement. No plans have been confirmed.
For now, WWE has not announced a main-roster Iron Survivor Challenge. Any connection to the Undisputed WWE Championship storyline remains speculation.
