Younger roster reportedly behind expanded Summer Tour schedule
Summary
– WWE is reportedly bringing back more house shows to give younger talent more live experience
– The company announced 10 new non-televised Summer Tour dates for July and August
– Cody Rhodes has reportedly pushed for WWE to expand its live event schedule again
WWE is increasing its house show schedule this summer, and the move reportedly stems from roster development.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE wants its younger wrestlers to get more live in-ring experience away from television. The company has added 10 new non-televised events across the United States to its Summer 2026 Tour.
WWE had pulled back on domestic house shows in recent years. The idea was to increase demand for live events while reducing wear and tear on talent.
That strategy now appears to be changing. WWE reportedly believes the company is hot enough again to make house shows profitable, while also giving newer talent more reps in front of paying crowds.
The new dates include stops in Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Allentown, Stockton, Bakersfield, Springfield, Fairfax, Manchester, Savannah, and Charleston. Tickets for the newly announced events go on sale May 20 at 10 a.m. local time.
Several major names are being advertised for the tour, including Cody Rhodes, Oba Femi, Rhea Ripley, Seth Rollins, Jade Cargill, Trick Williams, and Drew McIntyre.
Cody Rhodes has reportedly been vocal about wanting WWE to run more house shows. With younger names moving into bigger roles, WWE now seems ready to make non-televised live events a bigger part of its schedule again.
