The Boogeyman Spotted at SmackDown

The Boogeyman Spotted at WWE SmackDown in Sacramento

The WWE veteran shares an arena visit ahead of the October 16 show.

Summary

– The Boogeyman shared a video from the site of the October 16 SmackDown

– His Instagram clip placed him at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento

– A television appearance or return to competition has not been confirmed

The Boogeyman was at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento ahead of WWE SmackDown on October 16, sharing an Instagram video from inside the arena.

Marty Wright appeared in his familiar face paint and walked near the WWE ring in the clip. Staying in character, he reminded viewers that an absence from television does not mean he has disappeared.

The visit puts a familiar face from SmackDown’s past back around the show. However, being at the building does not establish that Wright has been booked for a segment. There has been no confirmation of a televised appearance, a match or an extended return.

Wright made The Boogeyman a recognizable part of WWE programming during the 2000s with his unusual entrance and worm-eating antics. His regular run with the company ended in 2009, although he has continued to make occasional appearances.

He later entered the 2015 Royal Rumble and signed a WWE Legends deal that year. Those appearances have allowed him to revisit the character without returning to the weekly roster.

For now, his latest Instagram update confirms an arena visit ahead of SmackDown. Whether that leads to something on the broadcast remains to be seen.
