PAC’s death has been attributed to bronchial asthma following the medical examiner’s investigation. A spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the finding in a newly published report, with the manner of death classified as natural.

The wrestler, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, was 40. He had been found unresponsive in a rental vehicle outside a restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, after working AEW All Out the night before.

Earlier findings had left the cause and manner of death pending while further testing took place. The newly reported determination provides an answer that was not available when his passing was first announced.

Satterley had been preparing to travel home to the United Kingdom. Police records indicated that directions to O’Hare International Airport were open on his phone when officers arrived.

His final match was against Andrade at All Out. He also appeared later during the event’s main event involving Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.

A Newcastle upon Tyne native, PAC began wrestling in 2004 and joined AEW in 2019. His career included a run in WWE as Neville, international success and multiple championships in AEW.

AEW’s announcement of his death prompted tributes from colleagues and fans around the world, recognizing both his ability in the ring and his impact on those who worked with him.
