Summary
– ESPN will air the first hour of WWE Clash in Italy
– WWE announced the broadcast update during the May 22 episode of SmackDown
– Clash in Italy takes place Sunday, May 31, from Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy
WWE is giving Clash in Italy extra exposure with special ESPN coverage.
During the May 22 episode of SmackDown, WWE announced that ESPN will air the first hour of the upcoming premium live event.
Clash in Italy is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. WWE’s official listing has the event set to stream at 2 PM ET on the ESPN App in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
The card currently features major matches, including Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship. Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Title has also been promoted for the show.
The ESPN move gives WWE another way to put part of the event in front of a wider audience before the full show continues through its regular premium live event coverage.
WWE recently used the same approach with Backlash, where ESPN also aired the first hour earlier this month.
With Clash in Italy marking WWE’s first premium live event from Italy, the added ESPN coverage gives the show another layer of visibility before the action begins.
