The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will begin its fourth and final season in February 2027, with the premiere window announced at New York Comic Con.
The panel featured Melissa McBride, showrunner David Zabel, and franchise chief content officer Scott M. Gimple. Alongside the announcement, fans received new footage previewing the final chapter of Daryl and Carol’s search for a way home.
The preview revisits the beginnings of their friendship before turning toward the dangers awaiting them in Spain. Norman Reedus and McBride return as the longtime survivors, whose efforts to reach the United States remain central to the story.
Season 3 ended with their most promising route home destroyed. The final season finds them continuing through the Spanish countryside without a clear way across the Atlantic.
Beyond the obstacles ahead, the story will explore what home means to each of them after everything they have survived together.
Jimmy Smits joins the cast as Alejandro Perkins, a former doctor and Navy captain whose resourcefulness could prove important. Returning cast members include Romain Levi, Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Candela Saitta, and Hugo Arbués.
The final season brings their European journey to a close, with new footage emphasizing both the action ahead and the relationship that has carried them through it.
Daryl Dixon will air on AMC and stream on AMC+. An exact February premiere date has not yet been provided in the announcement.
